Community programs and activities

Neil Wright is appointed by the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) to Chair: TABIA Task Force on Crime: Prevention and Solutions

The committee has been instrumental in forming opinions on this issue for the Chief of Police, Mayor, Premiere of Ontario. Our main focus is to formulate youth initiative programs that make a difference to the overall GTA. We have a joint partnership with Canada's largest professional youth touring theatre company, Theatre Roseneath producing social justice plays in High Schools and Colleges dealing with present hard hitting youth issues.

The Harbord Street BIA is a strong supporter of the Toronto Youth Ambassador organization. This organization has hundreds of youth members volunteering their time for municipal and non profit organizations. As Chair of the Task Force we have endorsed this organization as an example of how youth can make a difference in our communities.
